How does company identification work?
Goleed uses IP-to-company resolution combining reverse DNS lookups with commercial IP intelligence databases that map IP ranges to organizations. This identifies the company network a visitor is browsing from.
Can I see individual visitor names?
Company-level only -- by design. Individual-level identification requires form fills or login. This keeps Goleed fully GDPR-compliant without needing cookie consent for the tracking script itself.
How accurate is the identification?
Typically 40-60% of your B2B traffic is identifiable at company level. Consumer traffic, residential IPs, and VPN users cannot be identified by company. Accuracy is highest for mid-market and enterprise companies with dedicated IP ranges.
Does it slow down my website?
No -- the script loads asynchronously and adds less than 5ms to page load. It doesn't block rendering and has no impact on your Core Web Vitals or Lighthouse scores.
Is this GDPR compliant?
Yes -- Goleed identifies companies, not individuals. No personal data is collected from anonymous visitors. The script does not set tracking cookies for company identification and is compatible with cookie consent frameworks.
